2024 ASTEC Mobile Screens Cold In-Place Recycling (Cir)
The CIR Additive System is used in the cold in-place recycling of asphalt pavement in the repair and rehabilitation of asphalt-paved roads. The system is used to transfer, measure, and inject either emulsion or foamed asphalt to the cutter housing of the milling machine. The additive is then thoroughly blended with the milled material and transferred for paving.
The RX-700 and RX-900 cold planers are available with bolt-on packages that equip them for cold in-place recycling projects. With bi-directional functionality, these machines can easily down cut for better material sizing.
Features may include:
SKID MOUNTED ADDITIVE PACKAGE- The self-contained additive system can stay on when using the machine for conventional milling or can easily be removed if no longer required. All of the components are easily accessible and all the controls are in one easy-to-operate control box.
- The main skid, which is mounted to the rear of the milling machine, includes an integrated pump/meter package, automated flush system, and electric over hot oil heating system to ensure optimal transfer of liquid AC to the spray nozzle.
- The additive system controls for the CIR package are located in one easy-to- operate panel. You can control and meter up to three additives, such as foam or emulsion asphalt, water, or a slurry.
- The control panel also includes the ability to flush the entire additive system with a release agent to ensure proper daily operation. After the operator inputs width, depth, and unit weight, the automated flush system measures machine speed and adjusts the additive flow rates as necessary.
